Rumors

Grace is a clown, always trying to make people laugh, but actually terrifying. On

weekdays she slaves away in a small diner on the edge of town but on the weekends she’s full

clown. You might think that clowns are not as popular as they used to be but you would be

surprised. The crew for the most famous circus had tried to recruit her but she had politely

declined. She was the funniest clown around and everyone knew who she was.

Grace was at the top of her game until the clown sighting came out. The clown sightings

were a scary thing, people would dress up in clown outfits and walk around with weapons.

Some thought it was all a dumb trend the kids had started, and that’s what it actually was.

Panic started and police were on high alert, trying to protect the city people from the clown

imposters.

The scary clowns went on for months and the more havoc they raised the less Grace

was hired for parties, the less money she made. By the time it was time to pay her rent she

could barely scrape up enough. Her clown job was her main source of income and without it

she would be broke in a few days. She sat in the small rundown apartment of hers and tried to

think of some way to stop the ridiculous clowns, and save her job. For hours she sat on her

gray couch and thought about how she was gonna stop them but come up with nothing.

After about six months the rumors had died down and Grace started getting hired

again. She collected enough money to buy a new apartment and even a small dog. Things

started working out for the best and she was proud that she was a clown.
