Mr. Floyd,

I am currently enrolled in the Athletic Training Program at Georgia College & State University
and completing my senior year. At this time, I am searching for a graduate assistantship, and
after reviewing the values and opportunities that the University of West Alabama sports medicine
team offers, I believe that I would be a great addition to your program. Please consider this letter
along with my resume as my formal application for the graduate assistantship position. I
wholeheartedly believe that at the University of West Alabama, I will have a perfect opportunity
to fulfill my goal of providing complete healthcare to student-athletes.

As a student athletic trainer with Georgia Military College in Milledgeville, GA from January to
May of 2018, I understand the importance and impact that athletic trainers can have on athletes
in regard to safe return to play without risk of further injury. My experience at First Presbyterian
Day School from August 2018 to the present has taught me how to manage busy treatment times
and multiple practices occurring at once while still providing superior care to all athletes. My
experience the internal medicine office gave me the opportunity to learn and perfect
administrative duties such as scheduling appointments and tests, billing, handling referrals and
communicating with insurance companies. Being a former collegiate athlete, I am able to easily
connect with the athletic community as well. The athletic training program has taught me many
skills, and the University of West Alabama would be the perfect environment to sharpen those
skills. I would strive to be a valued asset to the sports medicine team if given the opportunity.

I believe my eagerness to learn, medical experience, and passion for athletic training are key
attributes you may be looking for in a graduate assistant. Thank you for your time and
