This is a reflection about my Genre Analysis paper that was graded earlier in the

semester. It was probably my favorite paper to write so far this year because it was something

about that was always a big curiosity of mine. As for the guidelines of the paper, I did try to

accomplish every single one of them. I tried to look at other examples and ask some of my peers

about the guidelines and how should I approach it. I do feel like I have accomplished this paper

but I know I could’ve done more. What I learned from this assignment is the assignment its self.

I found out what a genre analysis paper was and it was fun to look up and compare two different

genres relating the same topic. I could use this in the future by being able compare two sites to

see which one can pass on information easier and more effectively. It can also help by being able

to tell what source is more reputable. As for the criteria, I know I’ve tried to check off for

everything that I need for my paper. When I write my papers, I found it very easy to just write

what I think with it but I know the one thing that I need to do is let someone check it before I

turn my paper in because I know that I do have many mistakes. When I wrote this paper, I didn’t

really check for revision but I know I should have as well because it would be been a better

paper overall with less mistakes. In the lectures, I remember our professor gave us many

examples about the paper and how we could write it which really helped with the understanding

of the paper. Overall, it was an interesting paper to write and I am very glad to have chosen this

topic.
