Demographics are quantifiable data of how the audience of a product are such as gender, age,
family class, nation, ethnicity, education, religion, political background, urban/rural.

TV producers are trying to sell the audience to advertisers.

Easy to gather and put into graphs however not very detailed.

A – Higher management, administrative, professional

B – Intermediate management, administrative, professional

C1 – junior management, administrative, professional


C2 – skilled manual workers

D – Semi-skilled or unskilled manual workers

E – Casual workers, pensioners, unemployed
