Sarah served as a student teacher at Mount Nittany Middle School in State College, Pennsylvania and graduated from the Pennsylvania State University in May 2019. From her very first day at MNMS, I was very impressed with the positive attitude she displayed and the way that she was able to personally connect with all of her students. Not a day went by where she did not take the time to interact with the students in her charge and make them feel like they were a valuable part of the classroom community. She daily brought with her a desire to improve her teaching practices and constantly sought out ways to enhance her lessons and planning. I enjoyed watching Sarah in action challenging the students she was instructing to give their best, connect with one enother, and grow as learners and citizens, Beyond the classroom, Sarah also led and volunteered with Penn State Athletes Take Action and helped to impart important wisdom and encouragement to the newest members of our MNMS family.
