Reflection Paper

Throughout this course there were many assignments that I have learned a lot

from. In unit 4 the community agency report was the assignment that I have decided to

show on my eportfolio. This assignment was able to describe the abilities that other

agencies can offer for individuals with disabilities and that want treatment. With this

assignment I was able to learn how different communities and agencies are willing to

provide their services to individuals.

The challenges that were faced within this assignment was being able to get in

contact with the different agencies. Agencies due get busy and take some time to get in

contact with, however being able to get in communication with them the agencies were

helpful with their information of their services. Being patient and trying to communicate

back with different communities is important to accomplish this assignment.

The reason why I chose this assignment is because not a lot of people are aware

that individuals with disabilities and that are recovering want to become active. Also,

not a lot of individuals are aware that there are communities and agencies that have

programs for people with the same disabilities, and with the programs they are able to

become active. The assignment shows what the agency offers and what it take to become
qualified. It shows how long each program is and the competitions within each program.

It is important to be aware of what programs are out there especially for people that are

recovering from physical therapy and want to become active again. With this

assignment I was able to learn that information and now share it with others that are

not aware of these opportunities.
