EXPERIMENTAL PROCEDURE I

I. On a glass flat plate both edges had been sharpened with 0.5 cm mark from end plate for
both end of the plate.
II. Both h1 and h2 was labelled for rough and smooth surface of the plate which for h 1 50mm
from one end and h2 170 mm from the same end plate.
III. The sand paper which indicate the smooth surface was cut to 4.6cm width and 10cm height.
IV. The sand paper had been glued to the glass flat plate and act as rough surface.

EXPERIMENTAL PROCEDURE II

I. The smooth flat plate was placed vertically into the wind tunnel with the pitot tube tip same
level with the h1.
II. The switch was on for the wind.
III. The pitot tube was moved every 0.25mm until it reach 10.0mm which get the constant value
of pressure in the end.
IV. The reading of the pressure had been recorded every 0.25mm pitot tube moves.
V. The pitot tube was changed to the level h2 on the flat plate after finish with the h1 reading.
VI. Step III and IV was repeated for level h2.
VII. The switch had been off to change the smooth plate surface to the rough plate surface.
VIII. Step I to VI was repeated for rough plate surface experiment.
