Personal Artifact
Future career interests (if known): Teacher; Social Worker.

Targeted soft skills you chose for this year:

1. Innovation and creative thinking

2. Responsibility

Description of Artifact (*The personal artifact may be anything that demonstrates growth, skills, interests, discoveries, and/or abilities
from your experience this last year -- can be school-related or not.)

My personal artifact is the homecoming rally. I wanted to make sure homecoming was a success
this year and make homecoming a big thing for once. This is my personal artifact because I
created something that has never been done here, and it got all the classes involved with one
another.

Why did you choose this as one of your artifacts?

I chose this as one of my artifacts because it was something I was very proud of accomplishing
and it brought the school together more as a whole.

How did your experience with this artifact change or impact you?

It changed me because it showed me that bringing the school together makes everyone feel more
safe here and they could be their own person.

Did you see growth in your targeted soft skills through the course of working on this artifact?
Explain.

The innovation and creative thinking is something I used more for this personal artifact because I
thought outside the box and made homecoming enjoyable. I included lip sing and dances to the
rally to incorporate school spirit and confidence.

Provide an example of how the skills you practiced or the knowledge you gained via this artifact
may also be used in a career in which you are interested.

I realized that thinking outside the box might be the way to accomplish something. In order
to accomplish the excitement of homecoming I needed to think about all the possible ways
to make everyone involved. As I still want to pursue my dream of being a teacher, I want
everyone to feel safe in my classroom. With the way homecoming turned out, everyone felt
safer in school.
