To whom it may concern,

I am writing due to my interest in the available administration position in your
school district. I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education with
an emphasis in music and will have a Master of Science in Educational Leadership
and Initial Administration License in July of 2019. Due to my experience in the
classroom and passion for students I believe I can be a valuable asset to the
school.
As my resume will demonstrate, I have extensive experience working with
children of all age levels and backgrounds. This experience has blossomed into a
passion to educate young minds in order to guide students to become well-
rounded, responsible, and successful individuals. In my experience as a teacher I
have taken on many leadership roles such as building test coordinator, building
site council chair, and PBIS treasurer. During the previous school year I also
completed my administration internship in which I completed over 360 hours of
administration work that included subbing for the dean of students and other
principals, coordinating a community engagement event, observing 20+ teachers
and providing feedback, creating a master schedule for a new specialist model for
our 800-student building, among other things. Throughout my work in schools I
have developed five core philosophies that guide my decision making;
relationship building, engagement, high expectations, perseverance, and humility.
