11:00 Students will be in library for their congressional hearing

Students should have:
 Their “We the People” book
 Their Social Studies folder
 Their Social Studies notebook
 A pencil
Students will be sitting in their congressional hearing groups.
I have left a copy of those groups for you. This lesson is led
by Mrs. Johnson, but please circulate the library and help if
needed.
11:55 Have students head back to the classroom and line up in a
silent line for recess. Take students out to recess.
12:18 Have all 5th graders line up. When they are quiet, have
them come in the building to wash their hands and line up for
lunch.
12:25 Have students head down to the cafeteria. They will have
lunch until 12:55.
12:55 Meet students back at our room. They should be lined up
silently in front of the classroom door.
12:55-1:20 Quite a few students will be in band and strings during
this time period. During this time, students can use it as a study
hall or a “free time” period to play on the computer or iPads.
Please remind them to use appropriate level voices and go to
school-approved sites. If voices are loud after several reminders,
they can just read quietly at their desks.
