 Type I (Reality Fact → Future Conditional)

Form:
S + Will + V1, If + S + V(es,s) + O
Example: I will come to your party if you invite me
Real fact : (50 %) I will come if you invite me.

 Type II (Reality fact → Present Conditional)

Past Future Tense Past Tense
Form:
S + Would + V1 + O If + S + V2 + O
Example: I would buy chocolate if my mother gave me some money.
Real fact: I don’t buy chocolate. → (Present Tense)
I don’t buy chocolate because my mother doesn’t give me some money.

 Type III (Reality Fact → Past Conditional)

Form:
S + Should/Would + Have + V3 + O If + S + Had + V3 + O
Example: I would have bought chocolate, if my mother had given me some money.
Real Fact: I Didn’t buy chocolate. → (Past Tense)
Exercises:
1) I would buy eggs, if my mother didn’t cook fish. (Type II)
Real Fact: I don’t buy eggs.
2) Students would have translated text, if teacher had asked to do it. (Type III)
Real Fact: Students didn’t translate text.
3) If there is pecal on the table, I will take my plate to eat. (Type I)
Real Fact: I will take my plate.
4) If my father went to Singapore, he would buy me a new T-shirt. (Type II)
Real Fact: He doesn’t buy me a new T-shirt.
5) There wouldn’t be food, if it was Sunday. (Type II)
Real Fact: There is Food.
6) I will love you, if you are a rich man. (Type I)
Real Fact: I will love you.

Real Fact: They were angry.
