I worked at the salvation army to give people christmas presents and food.

We worked

for 5 hours and during this time we would walk around and help find 2 presents for each of their

children. Once we found their presents we would go to the next spot and get them a basket of

food. I learned that some people don’t have the money to get their children lots of presents and

that we need to be more grateful for what we have. Community service is important so you get

another perspective on life and can think about what you have and be more grateful. It also helps

because it could inspire people to do more for others.
