To Whom It May Concern:

It is my immense pleasure to write a letter for such an exceptional young woman, Ms.
Whitley Blake. I have known Whitley for the past 10 years and have had the distinct honor
of watching her grow as a child into the outstanding young adult she is today. Whitley is
successful in all challenges she attempts and is on the fast track for a successful college
career.

Whitley is a natural leader who brings her dynamic and passionate personality to all
situations. Ms. Blake has been elected by her peers to hold positions that include Class
Secretary and NHS Vice President. Whitley helped organize a fundraiser this past Christmas
that raised over $3,000 for local, needy families. Whitley’s leadership abilities also include
athletics serving as team captain for the cross-country and wrestling teams. Whitley also
participated in track all four years of high school. Ms. Blake has excelled in her own athletic
endeavors while volunteering countless hours helping younger students involved in the
elementary wrestling and cross country programs. Whitley intends to continue her
wrestling career in college while pursuing a psychology degree.

Whitley is an extraordinary leader and is willing to take on new challenges. In the

classroom, Ms. Blake has tackled a very difficult schedule throughout her high school
career. She has successfully completed 10 dual enrollment courses and will graduate with
43 total college credits. Despite an intense academic, athletic, and extracurricular schedule,
Whitley has been able to maintain a 4.1429 GPA.

Whitley is an incredibly hardworking, dedicated student who is eager and ready to make a
successful transition to college. Through her natural leadership skills and willingness to
take on new challenges, it is without reservation that I highly recommend Ms. Whitley
Blake as a scholarship applicant.

Sincerely,
