Going to Meet the Man

This poem is talking about being lost without having Walt Whitman as a composer

anymore, the supermarket symbolizes the place where everyone will be, but somehow the writer

talks about being lonely and feeling like the area is missing something. I don’t know if that is

what the writer is talking about because it isn’t very clear about the aspects of the actual poem.

But the writer sound depressed and as if Whitman was the only reason they (the people in the

world) are live is because of Whitman.

APPLIED SLO-Read

This reading is about another poet analyzing another and how the aspects of that one

person changed their life in the long run. Also, how Whitman was as a composer himself and

how he contributed to society for others in America. Whitman was an outstanding writer but I

don’t believe I cannot live without him.
