To Whom It May Concern:

Please consider this letter as a strong recommendation for Ms. Madison Owens as a candidate for
your scholarship. Madison has been a student of mine since seventh grade and has also spent her
time at Brown City Schools as an exceptional gifted student academically, and as a positive
leader of her classmates. Madison has displayed the ability to lead her fellow students
academically and through civic responsibility. As an educator and administrator I appreciate
individuals who are energetic, professional, dependable, and effective. Madison has displayed
these characteristics.

As a student in Brown City, Madison has led the way academically by continuing to perform at
her very best to be at the highest level. Her strong work ethic for academics and her desire to her
very best sets her apart from other students. Throughout her academic career, Madison has set
her standards for performance very high.

As an athlete, Madison has shown her commitment as a contributing member of our cheer teams
and girls’ soccer team. Through her involvement, dedication and work ethic, Madison achieved
that status of captain for her cheer team. Madison has displayed a willingness to lead in a
positive manner and to set a tone of conduct expected of our athletes. Through her years of
involvement, she has been able to maintain her high G.P.A.

Madison takes on a task with great passion. One of her best qualities is her personality. A
leader’s personality is of critical importance for success in dealing with various people in a
community. Madison is very likeable and is able to establish an immediate rapport with her
teachers and fellow students. She presents herself with a lot of confidence. She has displayed
very good time management skills. The students of Brown City Community Schools not only
look up to Madison, but they also have a great deal of respect for her.

Madison is a true representative of the ideals of your scholarship. She is someone who is driven
by her passion to be an exceptional student and leader. She shows much enthusiasm and
excitement about learning and being involved in the community of Brown City High School.
