words, they can use via the Smart Board to play different
spelling games.
Cost: free with limited access, for unlimited access it’s
$52.95 per teacher with 25 students yearly. There is a
school rate as well.
Implementation: 2, Once spelling list is uploaded, it is
easy to navigate to the different games to use. This can
be used in a whole group or individual setting.
Maintenance: Updated via webserver.
Ease of modification: 1, everything is inputted by the
teacher and then can be used immediately.
Spelling City is legal and ethical in terms of technology
usage.

Ease of use: 2, after the teacher has instructed students
on how to use Google Docs, they find their way around
and enjoy using it.

Implementation: 2, once it is shown to students, they are
able to send emails, save documents, chat with others
and so much more.
Ease of modification: 1, everything is inputted by the
teacher/student and then can be used immediately or
changed as the teacher sees fit.
Google Docs is legal and ethical in terms of technology
usage.

Ease of use: 2, teacher shows/tells students what

lesson. This can be used from either the school or the
home setting.

this can be accessed immediately.

the lessons are open, and reopen lessons as necessary.
They are not capable of changing any information, but
Study Island provides many variations/examples of a
lesson.
