To combine the simple present we use the infinitive for the subject I,

you, we and they and to the third persons he, she and it, add a "-s" at
the end of the verb.

Words ending in a consonant + “y”: “y” switch to “i” and add “es”
Words ending in "s", "ss", "sh", "ch", "x", "o": Add "es".
Words that end in "f" or “fe": change to “ves".
