An elaborate hoax

A few days ago a friend of mine told me to tell him my house’s phone number. I asked
him why he wanted it, because it was 2:50 a.m. in the morning and my family was
already sleeping, and he told me he wanted to prove a new PC program which let him
phone houses’s phone numbers. After I had told him I wouldn’t give him my phone, I
thought about giving him the phone number of a boy I really hate house, and I did.

My friend called that boy at 3 a.m., but there were no answer but the answering
machine’s one. A friend of my friend, who was with him, gave a message on the
machine: ‘Hi, I’m Fernando, your boyfriend, call me as soon as you can, I miss you’.

We laughed a lot and then my friend suggested they could phone the boy again. At first I
hesitated to tell him yes, but in the end I agreed with him and they called that boy once
more. That time the boy answered the phone and the friend of my friend told him: ‘Hey,
you owe me money, give it to me or you’ll be in trouble!’. The boy got frightened and
said: ‘You must be mistaken’.

But the fact was that my friend, his friend and I weren’t at the same place, and we were
talking through the net, so although I laughed a lot, I didn’t hear the hoax. No problem,
my friend switched the microphone on and they called that boy again. Three calls at 3
a.m. on the morning. This time the friend of my friend told that boy: ‘Hey, you have my
goods (referring to drugs) and you owe me money! Give it to me or I’ll slash you up!’.
This time that boy was so frightened that he wasn’t able to say anything!

Maybe my friend went too far… but I think that boy deserved that. He was… very bad
with me in the past.
