Description of artifact/assignment: Paper Mache Penguin I made in Art

Why did you choose this as one of your artifacts/assignments?

I picked this as one as my artifacts because it was my first time doing paper mache. And for it
being my first time I am very happening with the end result

What academic skills did you use that are specific to this artifact/assignment?
The academic skills I used where perseverance, risk taking, and research skills. I used
perseverance because I kept on going even when I didn’t really know what I was doing. I used
risk taking skills because I could of picked something easier for my paper mache. And I used
research skills to brainstorm how I was going to make it.

What general academic skills did you use (skills that would be used in any academic class)?
I used time management, critical thinking, and problem solving. I had to manage my time to
finish the project when it was due. I used critical thinking skills to coming up with ideas on how
to do things. And I used problem solving whenever an inconvenience happened throughout the
project.

Did you see growth in your targeted soft skills through the course of working on this
Artifact/Assignment? Explain.
Portfolio 2018-19

I saw some growth in my targeted soft skills. I saw growth in my self management because I
needed to manage my time to finish my project in time. And as study skills, I didn’t really need
to study anything. The only thing I needed to kinda study was how to applied the paper mache.

Provide an example of how these academic and/or soft skills are used in a career in which you
are interested.
This skills will help me in my career because I don’t really know to much about graphic design. I
will need to study it and learn about it. And there is self management in everybody job. You need
manage your time in whatever you do in life.
