An essay explaining how the concept of the novel “One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest” connects
to modern society

Why did you choose this as one of your artifacts/assignments?

I chose this assignment because I enjoyed the writing about the concepts of novel and connecting
it to problems we have in our society today. I got a B+ on the essay.

What academic skills did you use that are specific to this artifact/assignment?

The skills I used were analyzing the novel and providing evidence to to support my ideas.

What general academic skills did you use (skills that would be used in any academic class)?
The general academic skills I used were writing an essay in MLA format and analyzing text.

Did you see growth in your targeted soft skills through the course of working on this
Artifact/Assignment? Explain.
I did see growth in my targeted soft skills because I stayed engaged in the concept of the novel
which helped me write my essay.

Self management is a skill I am going to need to use in order to stay on track with any important
assignments like this one.
