I am pleased to be writing this letter of recommendation for student Taylor Chico. Currently she
is taking a course with me for the third time this semester: Com205 Media Industries. Previously,
she took Com100 Intro to Media with me in Fall 2015, and Com150 Intro to Communications in
Spring 2018. For those courses, she earned an A- and A respectively. Both courses had around
50-55 students each, as usual for such courses in the department. Some of Taylor's coursework
included content analysis of current examples from pop media, such as analyzing stereotypes
from "Mob Wives" or imagery from Childish Gambino's music video "America." Over time,
Taylor has demonstrated herself to be a serious and attentive student. I expect her to continue
doing great work in my current course and future graduate coursework. I recommend Taylor
with highest confidence and wish more students would show care for their work like Taylor has
demonstrated in mine. Thank you.
