Instrucciones a los Autores
1. Extensión: Entre 15 y 20 cuartillas escritas a espacio
y medio, con un margen izquierdo de 4 cm. como míni-
mo
2. Numeración: Debe ser consecutiva y en números
arábigos (Incluye la página del título).
3. Encabezamiento:
3.1. Título: Preferiblemente no mayor de 12 palabras. No
se admiten subtítulos.
3.2. Nombre del autor o autores: Escribir nombres y ape-
llidos completos. Información institucional: organismo al
cual está(n) adscrito(s). Si son varios autores, indique
con un asterisco aquél de los autores a quien se dirigi-
rá cualquier correspondencia. Dirección postal y correo
electrónico.
4. Resumen:
4.1. Extensión: Máximo 200 palabras.
4.2. Ubicación entre el encabezamiento y el texto prin-
cipal.
4.3. Estilo: Redacción impersonal. Evitar abreviaturas y
símbolos.
4.4. Idioma: El mismo en el que se escribe el artículo. Se
recomienda consignar una traducción en inglés. Y si es
posible, también en francés.
5. Palabras clave: Enunciar en una línea al menos cua-
tro palabras clave que den cuenta del contenido cientí-
fico del artículo y que estén presentes en el resumen.
6. Estructuración del artículo y texto:
6.1. Estilo: Es recomendable la redacción personal y el
uso de un vocabulario sencillo y directo.
6.2. Organización: Se recomienda la división del artí-
culo en secciones debidamente identificadas, la primera
debe ser la introducción (o reseña de los conocimientos
existentes limitada estrictamente al tema tratado en el
artículo); la segunda y siguientes corresponden al desa-
rrollo del trabajo y la última a las conclusiones.
Las secciones deben identificarse sólo con números
arábigos.
7. Referencias a otros autores:
7.1. Se indicarán en el texto mediante una cita que con-
tenga el apellido del autor año de publicación y el núme-
ro de página.
7.2. La cita mencionada sub 7.1. se ampliará en la “Lista
de referencias” (Ver No. 8).
7.3. El texto de la referencia ajena se hace en un tipo
de letra distinta de la del texto. Se recomienda letra me-
nuda.
7.4. Evitar referencia a comunicaciones y documentos
privados de difusión limitada.
8. Notas: Deben colocarse antes de la Lista de Referen-
cias, con un tamaño de letra No. 9.
9. Lista de Referencias:
9.1. Se debe disponer en orden alfabético atendiendo al
primer apellido del autor citado.
9.2. Si se hace referencia a más de un trabajo del mismo
autor, se ordenará la lista cronológicamente.
9.3. Si el artículo incluye notas, éstas deben colocarse
antes de la lista de referencias, no deben colocarse a
pie de página.
9.4. Deben ser citadas de acuerdo a las normas APA, al
final del texto.
10. Número de Ejemplares: Enviar 4 copias impresas
del artículo científico, acompañado de un CD con el ar-
chivo en Word, debidamente identificado.
11. Arbitraje: En esta revista, se realiza un proceso rigu-
roso de arbitraje. Se valoran, entre otros aspectos, la im-
portancia y naturaleza del tema estudiado, la calidad del
resumen, diseño, metodología, contenido, organización
interna, bibliografía y fuentes del trabajo. Los artículos
y documentos científicos serán arbitrados por al menos
tres árbitros usando el sistema doble ciego. Las entre-
vistas, obras de arte, poesía, reseñas y otros materiales
estarán bajo el criterio del Comité Editor.
12. Contrato: La emisión del trabajo por parte del autor
y su aceptación por parte del Comité Editor, genera una
responsabilidad bajo la modalidad de contrato, a través
de la cual se transfieren los derechos de propiedad a la
revista.
13. Adjunto al artículo, se requiere el envío de la sínte-
sis curricular del autor o coautor, incluyendo los datos
personales y académicos, dirección de habitación, direc-
ción institucional, teléfono, fax, dirección postal, correo
electrónico, cargo e institución con la cual labora.
14. Los artículos originales, reseñas, entrevistas, co-
mentarios, obras de artes, poesías y cartas al editor de-
ben ser inéditos y que no se encuentren presentados
simultáneamente a otras revista para su publicación.
15. Para publicaciones no periódicas: en forma gene-
ral se deberá seguir de acuerdo a los siguientes ejem-
plos:
Suying, Olivares García (2007). El derecho a la edu-
cación como un derecho humano fundamental a la
luz de la Constitución de 1999. Maracaibo, Venezuela.
Las referencias con el mismo autor (es) se ordenan por
el año de publicación, con el más antiguo en primer lu-
gar. Las referencias con el mismo autor y con la misma
fecha de publicación se ordenan alfabéticamente por el
título (excluyendo los artículos Un [Una] o El [La]) que
sigue la fecha. Si las referencias con los mismos autores
publicados en el mismo año se identifican como artícu-
los en una serie (e.g., Parte 1 y Parte 2), organícelas en
el orden de la serie y no alfabéticamente por el título. Las
letras en minúscula -a, b, c, etc.- se colocan inmediata-
mente después del año, dentro del paréntesis.

19. Guía para elaboración de reseñas
Con el objetivo de seguir criterios unificados con respec-
to a la información que proporciona la sección “Rese-
ñas” de la revista REDIELUZ, se ofrecen a continuación
algunos lineamientos generales como guía.
- Identificar la obra a reseñar por medio de su cita bi-
bliográfica completa.
- Referirse a la importancia del asunto, a investigacio-
nes anteriores, a la bibliografía existente.
- Ofrecer información sobre la trayectoria del autor,
mencionar el contexto en que surge la obra.
- Exponer el propósito, el método, las limitaciones y
presentar brevemente el plan de exposición, el con-
tenido general y la bibliografía empleada.
- Puntualizar los aspectos originales, los resultados y
conclusiones significativas, el impacto y la actuali-
dad.
- Señalar el público a que está dirigida y definir el es-
tilo.
- Informar el manejo de las imágenes, los gráficos, la
bibliografía y la presentación material.
- Finalizar con una evaluación sobre la utilidad de la
obra de función de:
a) el cumplimiento de los objetivos planteados por
el autor para la obra reseñada;
b) su relación con otras obras del mismo autor y
con la literatura de la especialidad.
- Se agradece a los colaboradores no exceder el tra-
bajo más de 5 cuartillas.
- Eliminar el resumen y el abstract.
20. Recomendaciones para la elaboración de entre-
vistas: Se sugiere colocar información sobre la trayec-
toria del entrevistado y la entrevista que no tenga una
extensión mayor de 5 cuartillas.
21. Los autores de los trabajos serán responsables de
su contenido, por lo tanto ni el Comité Editor, ni la Uni-
versidad del Zulia, comprometen sus principios y políti-
cas por los conceptos y opiniones emitidos por el autor.

About the submission of articles
The articles will be sent via Web to the following e-
mail address: redieluzvac@viceacademico.luz.edu.ve
and revistaredieluz@gmail.com. Along with the manus-
cript, a letter addressed to the Editor-in-Chief and the As-
sistant Editor of REDIELUZ magazine should be sent, sig-
ned by all the authors of said work. Likewise, they must
declare that the article has not been sent to any other
magazine and that they are responsible for the opinions
and comments expressed in it. They should also point out
if there is any conflict of interests and accept to give away
the publishing and diffusion rights on the information con-
tained in the work sent to REDIELUZ magazine.
Manuscripts must be submitted in a digital format in
Word for Windows®, Arial 12 font, double spacing. The
maximum extension of the articles will be 20 pages. The
body of the article will be divided into the sections that are
referred to in the publisher’s guidelines.
About the process of peer reviewing
The manuscripts received will be submitted to the
Editorial Committee from REDIELUZ magazine for their
review. Said committee will decide whether the process
continues or not, taking into consideration the scientific
criteria established to this end, the publisher’s regula-
tions and the compliance with the ethical principles as-
sociated to the research process, which include the case
of experimenting with human beings and animals, and
the observance of the Declaration of Helsinky. Next, the
editorial committee will send it to be peer- reviewed by
experts in the field of the research. There will be three
peers reviewing each article, following a double-blinded
reviewing procedure, i.e. the reviewers do not know who
the authors of the manuscripts are and the authors do
not know who the reviewers are either. The experts’ eva-
luation of the manuscript will fit into one of the following
categories: To be published with no modifications; to be
published with slight modifications; to be published with
substantial modifications, and not approved for publica-
tion. If the manuscript is approved to be published with
slight modifications or with substantial modifications, it
must be edited by the authors and then evaluated once
again by the reviewers who will make the final decision
about its publication.
About the publisher’s guidelines
Title of the Research: it must convey the basic ideas
that structure the object or situation of study and be rela-
ted to the objective of the research. It should be written in
a declarative form with a maximum of 20 words and must
not contain value judgments.
Abstract: with a maximum of 300 words. It must
have a brief introduction to give the reader an overview
of the problem or object of study, the general objective of
the research, the methodology used, a synopsis of the
results, and a conclusion or final reflection. Regardless
of the language in which the manuscript is written, it must
be accompanied by an Abstract written in the original lan-
guage and one in the English language. At the bottom of
this page, the author must include three to five key words
that allow the article to be classified as per international
indexes. They will be written in only one paragraph with
single spacing. References are not to be included within
the abstract.
Introduction: it must be express a clear overview of
the problem or object of study and its statement. It must
correspond to the existing theoretical referent, qualita-
tive-quantitative data that justify the study and its con-
textualization within the particular settings concerning
the situation under study. At the end of this section, the
objective(s) of the investigation is(are) to be included,
with no value judgments whatsoever.
Methodology: it refers to the operational sequences
carried out by the authors. It may be referred to in diffe-
rent ways, among them: Methodological Considerations,
Research Methodology, or simply, Methodology. The
structure will be flexible, depending on the area of study;
in some cases it will be referred to as Materials and Me-
thods, or Patients and Methods. It encompasses: Type
of research, design, population and sample or units of
analysis, techniques and instruments for data collection
and techniques for data analysis.
Results: they represent the section of the article in
which the author systematically states the findings arisen
form the research, which serves as a basis to verify the
meeting of the objectives and the verification or rejection
of the hypothesis. They can be represented in tables,
charts, figures and theoretical constructions.
Discussion: it requires the confrontation of data
against theories and background, and it includes the
researcher’s independent thought so as to determine
coincidences and contradictions, i.e. the findings will be
contextualized. The discussion must not turn into a repe-
tition of the results, on the contrary, the aspects of interest
related to the study are highlighted.
Conclusions: depending on the research paradigm,
they can be conclusions themselves, or Final Reflec-
tions or Final Considerations, which are placed at the
end of the study or as the last paragraph of the discus-
sion. The conclusions summarize the findings of the re-
search and must correspond to the objectives. A qualita-
tive scale is required for their writing in order to fluently
express the information being conveyed. In the case of
studies in which discussion does not appear, the conclu-
sions will be the final section of the manuscript.
Charts: they must be identified with arabic nume-
rals. Capital letters are used only in the first letter of des-
criptive titles of charts and proper names, placed at the
top. Vertical lines separating columns must not be used.
If there is any abbreviation, sign or symbol, its meaning
must be clarified at the end of the chart. Sources are
not indicated unless they come textually from a different
reference; they must be referred to within the text of the
article.
Figures: they will be identified with Arabic numerals
and their descriptive title will be placed below them; they
must be referred to within the text of the article.
Photographs: they will be included in black and
white. To include them within the body of the article they
should be converted into an electronic image format,
i.e., tiff or jpg formats. They will be identified with Arabic
numerals and their descriptive title will be placed bellow
them; they must be referred to within the text of the ar-
ticle.
Citations: they will be expressed in accordance with
the American Psychological Association (APA) Stan-
dards, either textual or paraphrased. The former will be
placed between quotations with the author-date and cita-
tion page system, e.g. Martínez (2008:45); for the latter,
the author-date system without indicating the page will be
used, e.g. Martínez (2008).
References: they will be structured in accordance
with the American Psychological Association (APA) Stan-
dards, therefore, they will be listed in alphabetical order
in this section. There must only appear the references
cited within the text of the article, following the models
below:

• Key words: placed at the end of the abstract.
• Introduction: a theoretical framework section
may be included herein if the nature of the re-
search requires it.
• Methodology.
• Results or findings of the research.
• Discussion or Conclusions or Final Reflec-
tions or Final Considerations.
• Acknowledgements, if the authors would like
to do so.
• References.
REDIELUZ magazine reserves itself the right to pu-
blish the manuscripts that meet the ethical-scientific cri-
teria as well as the strict compliance of the publishing
guidelines referred to above. Neither the Vicerrectorado
Académico de la Universidad del Zulia, nor the Progra-
ma Red de Investigación Estudiantil de LUZ or REDIE-
LUZ magazine will be responsible for the judgments and
comments expressed in the manuscripts, being these the
sole responsibility of the authors.
