My Digital Life

I watch TV with a Sky+ Box and Netflix. I watch

approximately 4 hours of TV every week.
Snapchat: This app is used to text or call friends and
family. I use it about 2 and a half hours a week.
YouTube: This app is a place where people can
make videos and share them online. I use it
anywhere between 2 to 3 hours a week.
Spotify: This app is used to stream music on your
phone. I use it between 1 to 4 hours a week,
usually when I do my homework.
Google Chrome: This app is used to access Google.
I don’t use too often, only when I want to look up
something or to access the Amazon website, about
15 minutes or more each week.
I don’t think it is too much time as most other
teenagers spend even longer on these apps than I
do.
My four favourite websites I use on my tablet are
Google, YouTube, Amazon and Gamestop. I spend
about fifteen minutes on them as I mostly use them
on my phone not my tablet. I spend around eighteen
hours of screen time a week. It is a lot but I do take
breaks often.

I think the statistic ( 58 percent of Ireland will be obese

by 2025) released by WHO is shocking and upsetting
but not too surprising as many people today have an
unhealthy diet and don’t get exercise. I think it is linked
to diet and screen time. I exercise for an hour each
week, by walking my dogs. It is enough to keep me in
shape but I think I would be more fit if I did dancing.
My parents also exercise by walking the dogs about
aout the same amount. More and more post offices
are shutting down and online shopping is rising. I think
the reason post offices are shutting down is due to the
fact that there are other delivery companies delivering
parcels and less people are sending letters, switching
to emails and texts. My dad does not work online since
he is a carpenter however my mam is an accountant so
she would be using the internet from time to time. I
don’t think that in 10 years most people will be
working from home as there are many jobs that
require physical labor and people to be present if
things go wrong.
