 The
Kingdoms

The six kingdoms are

plants, animals, fungi,
protists, bacteria, and
archaea. All living things need
water, food, sunlight, and all
living things move.
 Animalia

All animals breath oxygen,

reproduce, and grow from a
hollow sphere of cells.

 • The leaves do the major
work. Leaves gather sun
energy and carbon dioxide.
They also release water
vapor and oxygen. Inside the
leaf, plant cells are using
carbon dioxide, sun energy,
water, and nutrients to make
sugar for the plant.
