CAKE
• 3 1/3 cups cake flour
STEP 1 Cream the butter and sugar until fluffy.
• 3/4 cup (1 1/2 sticks) unsalted butter
STEP 2 Slowly add the eggs to the sugar one by one.
• 2 1/4 cups sugar
• 3 large eggs STEP 3 In a separate bowl, whisk together the cocoa powder,
• 10 tbsps red food coloring food coloring and vanilla – add to the sugar and butter.
• 6 tbsps unsweetened cocoa STEP 4 Add the buttermilk, sour cream and salt to the mixture.
• 1 1/2 tsps vanilla extract STEP 5 Slowly add the flour.
• 1 1/2 tsps salt STEP 6 Add the cider vinegar and baking soda. Slowly

Frosting: FROSTING
• 1 pound cream cheese Combine cream cheese, butter, vanilla and confectioners sugar
• 6 tbsps unsalted butter into a mixer and whip until fluffy. Keep at room temperature
• 1 1/2 tsps vanilla extract until you are ready to frost.
• 5 cups sifted confectioners sugar
