Letter From Your Future Self
Letter From Your Future Self
First things first. We changed our name to Kai. We finally hit our breaking point of
people calling us Makayla so we got it changed to Kai. What I should really be saying is
hey Kai. Do you remember that roadmap of our life that we made in our personal
finance class? Well some things went according to plan while others didn’t.
For one we aren’t architects. We liked the idea of drawing and designing
buildings but in the end we always did hate math. We went to college at NC State study
abroad for a while and then transfer to North Carolina’s school of arts in Winston Salem,
NC so that we could work on our directing a script writing . We live stayed in North
Carolina for awhile. I know we constantly talked about leaving NC but it didn’t happen
as quickly as we wanted in to. It was a little tough but we made it through. We worked
as a journalist at the local newspaper and we worked part-time at a restaurant. For our
occupation on the side we write books and make art but we are script writers for movies
On our journey to get to where we are now we met a few obstacles such as our
spending. We started working and made some money and started over spending not
realizing how much our budget actually was. When we became broke we went to our
parents and they got us back on our feet lectured us about our money and made sure
was had a savings account and money set aside for when we are on hard-times.
We never married and we don’t have kids but we do have some amazing friends.
Of course we ended up baby-sitting T’yrons nine kids and they’re annoying but it’s okay
he’s paying me to do it. We have four dogs, three hermit crabs, and cat, and a giant fish
tank filled with many beautiful fish. We are very happy like this. We got a bigger house
than we planned but that’s okay cause we needed space for our pets so it was worth it.
Once we got out of our broken state and ended up saving money a lot of money
around $500,000. We’ve invested a lot of our money into stocks and businesses and it’s
paid off well. I’m glad we keep working hard and finally started committing to the things
we liked doing.
