Level 1

One evening, Daniel went to the playground. He walked together with his friend.
The boys played on the swing. They played happily. He fell and injured his leg. He cried.
His friend helped him. A man called the ambulance. They went to the hospital.

Level 2

One evening, Daniel and his friend went to the playground. They walked there
together. They were very happy.
The boys played on the swing happily. They sang together. There was another boy
playing on the slide.
Suddenly, one of the boys who were playing on the swing fell onto the ground. He
injured his leg. He cried painfully.
Immediately, his friend helped him. A man who was passing by saw the incident. He
called the ambulance. A few minutes later, the ambulance came and took him to the
hospital.
Level 3

Last Sunday,evening was a very fine day. Daniel decided to go to the playground.
He called his friend, Aiman to join him. They met somewhere near his house. Then they
walked together to the playground. While walking, they talked to each other.

When they reached the place, they saw many children busy playing on the slides,
see-saw, monkey bars and swings. The two boys decided to play on the swings. While they
were swinging happily, suddenly, his friend, Aiman fell down onto the ground. He injured
his left leg and cried painfully. Tears rolled down his cheek.

Without any hesitation, Daniel rushed to his friend. He quickly helped him. He
consoled him not to cry. A man who was passing by saw the incident. He came to them
and called the ambulance. The ambulance took about ten minutes to arrive at the scene.
Then he was sent to the nearby hospital for further treatment.
Level 1

Adam and his friend went to the playground. They walked there. They saw many
children at the playground. They played on the slide happily. They heard a sound. They
found a cat. The cat was in the drain. Adam took the cat home. He fed the cat with milk. He
played with the cat.

Level 2

Last Monday, Adam and his friend, Kumar went to the playground. Kumar waited for
him at his house. Then they walked together to the playground.

When they reached there, they saw many children playing. Both of them played on
the slide happily. The slide was near the drain.

Suddenly, they heard a sound of a cat meowing. They went to search for it. They
found a cat in the drain. Adam brought the cat home. He treated it and fed it with milk. Then
he played with the cat.
Level 3

Last Monday was a public holiday. Adam and his friend, Kumar went to a playground
after they had finished their school work. They walked there because the playground was
just a stone’s throw away from their house. While walking, they had a light talk together.

After ten minutes walking, they reached the playground. They saw many children
playing there. They decided to play on the slide as there was nobody there. Adam and
Kumar played happily, as it was so fun to slide down onto the ground.

As they were enjoying themselves, suddenly, they heard a meowing sound of a cat.
They decided to search for it. Then they found that the sound came from the drain. It was a
wounded little cat. They felt so pity for the cat.

Without having a second thought, Adam brought the poor cat home. At home, Adam
treated the cat’s wound. Then he fed it with some fresh milk as it looked very hungry. After
cleaning it, Adam played with the cat. His parents were very proud of their son’s good deed.
They permitted him to keep the cat as his lovable pet.
Level 1

Encik Ali and his neighbours wanted to clean the park. They swept the leaves.
They painted the benches. The park was beautiful. At noon, they had lunch. They enjoyed
themselves.

Level 2

Encik Ali and his neighbours decided to clean the park in their neighbourhood. They
gathered there early in the morning. Some men trimmed the bushes and swept the drains.
They also painted the benches, swings and slides. They used brushes and paint. The place
looked clean and beautiful. At noon, they finished their work. The residents had lunch
together. They enjoyed themselves very much.
Level 3

Encik Ali and all the residents of Taman Permata decided to clean the park in their
neighbourhood. They gathered there early in the morning. It was 8 o’clock when they
began the work. Some men trimmed the bushes and the trees. Some women swept the
drains. They collected the dry leaves. The children picked up the cans for recycling.
At the playground, they painted the benches, swings and slides in the park. Soon the park
looked clean and beautiful as new. When all the work was done, the residents had their
lunch together. They enjoyed themselves and got to know their neighbours. It was truly a
memorable experience for the whole residents of Taman Permata.
