Awareness Strategy
My mission is to create awareness in Norton County about the
purpose and services Developmental Services of Northwest Kansas
(DSNWK) offers to the community in a way that will be repeatable
in all 18 of the counties served by DSNWK.

Measuring Community Awareness
1. Create initial survey to gain knowledge of community’s current awareness

2. Implement the rest of the strategic plan

3. Create follow up survey to see if the community learned more about DSNWK
Video Tour
1. Record video footage of the Frontier Developmental Center

2. Create video tour of the facility

3. Post video to website and social media

Staff Moral
1. Meet with staff in Norton to share goals and ideas

2. Create meeting schedule calendar

3. Give quarterly updates at meeting

Speaking Programs
1. Contact organizations within Norton County

2. Create programs about DSNWK for community presentations

3. Present and set future presentation dates

Community Involvement
1. Find upcoming community event to participate in

2. Participate in the event

3. Gain feedback and continue finding ways to stay engaged

Awareness
1. Gather stories from individuals

2. Share stories and information on social media

3. Share about DSNWK on coffee table
