Juveniles should be charged in court as adults

Back around the 17th century juveniles were tried as adults. Small kids around the age of

seven years old were considered “Miniature Adults.” Juveniles have been punished over

centuries for adult crimes as adults. Juveniles should be tried as adults because they know the

trouble they could possibly get themselves into if they did something they were not supposed to

do. Juvenile offenders should be tried as adults if committed murder, involved with drugs, and

rape.

Juveniles that have committed murder should be tried as adults in court. According to

USA today​ magazine “The largest portion of cases waived to criminal court are serious crimes

such as murder.” If a person is able to know how to kill or injure someone on purpose, they

should know their consequences because it is common sense to know when you are taking

someone's life away. According to ​Time​ Magazine a young boy named Nathaniel Brazill a

14-year old boy was found guilty for second degree murder. He was guilty for killing his English

teacher. According to ​Time​ magazine Brazill’s defense team is hoping the sentencing judge will

be for flexible about Nathaniel's case. The judge should try nathaniel as an adult because at

around 12 years of age almost everyone knows the law. It is against the law to commit murder

and kill someone. If you are old enough to know how to kill someone you should be old enough
to take the consequenses. Not only should juveniles be charged as adults for murder but for drug

use as well.

Juveniles should be tried as adults for murder, drug abuse and rape because this is

a way for them to learn to never do it again. If the comunity were to charge young people for

crimes they have commited and locked them up for it this teaches them to not do it again. ,young

people should be tried as adults. It is not fair for people to live in fear or depression over people

who are not responsible and mature. Teenagers should know that commiting murder is one of the

most commons laws. Also abusing perscritions is not a game. This is what causes most teens to

die.
