I am interested in becoming a writer in your English Composition I class. I saw on your board
that you were looking for writers and I thought it sounded like a good opportunity. Also, I heard
this is a good class to take for college credit.

While I have had some formal experience in writing, I have been writing in English classes for
more than three years. In sophomore English honors I mastered research skills by earning a 97%
on my research presentation. On my grammar pretest I showed proficiency by getting 47%. I
