I highlights the volue of customer expeditions ‘ond preferences in destination planning ond in facilitating marketing strotegies. In particular, the bess of this article is to demonsrate the copplcation of customer expectation theories in industry practice. In order to develop greater insight into the tourist market, the present study also provides an idea of tourist preferences and expectations of Haryana a: @ preferred tourist destination. The research uses @ quantitative method to determine tourist ‘expectations and preferences. The study was conducted in Haryano fond a questionnaire survey wos used to collect data from 142 respondents by adopting convenient sampling technique. The survey identified the general travel expectations and preferences of tourists who visited the various travel destinations of Haryana. The findings offered porticular evidence for improving service quality from the service providers both public and private. Understonding the touriss' preferences and expectations is the first step for delivering quality service and providing better visitor experiences.
