To whom it may concern:

Brittany Cortez has asked me for a recommendation letter for academic purposes. I
have chosen to describe not just the fact that she was a successful student within our
Art Appreciation/Arts 1301 class at South Texas College this past spring, but also clarify
the degree of success. Brittany pursued knowledge and learning in an honest and
enthusiastic fashion and it just may have turned out that excellence has started to
pursue her. It was an extreme pleasure to have her in class.

Brittany’s attention to detail and demonstration of intangibles beyond knowledge and

quantifiable skill were quite positive. Her display of initiative with independent
resourcefulness, the fact that she possessed a solidly positive attitude, along with her
ability to shift forward in regard to collective cooperation all were beneficial to the
entire class, and of that I am most appreciative. I’m sure many of her classmates are, as
well. Her person-to-person skills pertaining to communication and awareness are quite
impressive. Her organizational skills and a balanced drive to achieve and discover
combined with a very caring and cooperative attitude will serve her well as a classroom
teacher soon and will continue to pay dividends in other future endeavors. Brittany has
an inquisitive nature and has demonstrated leadership in a classroom environment that
had a number of communal/cooperative opportunities. For our sixteen weeks, as we
journeyed through centuries of time and more images and ideas than can be counted,
she sorted it out and made it make marvelous sense by applying imagination and
dedication as well. From my perspective, I see her showing commitment in all she does-
during this past semester this translated into some wonderful works of artistic
exploration, along with writing and speaking, too – not only from her hands and minds
but also though her influence toward other students.

I would whole heartedly recommend Brittany for employment now and in the future or
for consideration for acceptance pertaining to admission or awards within any academic
program.

Sincerely,

Chris Leonard
