For our project we created a morse code OUR system. We are going to hand each of you a sheet of paper explaining which letter PROJECT corresponds with each shape. Your challenge is to break our code and read the message! IDEA Good luck! One of the first and most successful systems of morse HISTORY OF code was created by an American inventor called Samuel F.B Morse. He created this system for the first ever MORSE CODE telegraph. However it soon became apparent once the system was introduced in Europe that the simple morse code was not going to be sufficient, as it lacked codes for letters in other languages, so they set up a universal code system known as International morse code. This new international code was more precise and a lot simpler. Morse code has been used for many things throughout history such as telegraphs and teleprinters. It was heavily relied upon in world war 2 as well. MICROBIT MORSE GENERATOR
Morse code was invented in 1836, way before texting!
Morse only transmits one sound, so the alphabet is turned into combinations of short and long beeps. Similar to this, our micro bits can't send voice messages, but they can send simple radio messages. This allows lots of micro bits to talk to each other! Here we will send signals from one micro bit (dot or dash) to any other micro bits and make a handy translation code book that holds the micro bit with space to write down messages. OUR CODE
We decided to work with fairly simple radio code, and we
created our morse code patterns using the "show led" blocks. This will allow us to send each other messages through a secret code! We have included a step by step guide so that you can create your own morse code system too! We hope you enjoy! A STEP BY STEP OF HOW WE DID THIS.
