PRESS RELEASE

Alamance Artists Awarded Grants

Alamance County, N.C., February 7, 2019 – Local residents Logan White and Daniel Ayers were awarded
grants by The Regional Artist Grant program for 2019. Logan White was awarded a grant for her project,
Metamorphosis: From Studio To The Stage and Daniel Ayers was awarded a grant for Working Title-
Daniel Ayers and the PBS Kid.

The Regional Artist Grant program is designed to support artists of all disciplines in completing their
projects by awarding funding to the most exceptional and qualified projects. The funding will allow
White and Ayers to complete their projects and further their artistic development. The funding comes
from the North Carolina Arts Council and is matched locally by participating Arts Councils.

Alamance is one of five counties participating in the Regional Artists Grant Program which
ArtsGreensboro coordinates. The other four counties are Caswell, Guildford, Randolph, and Rockingham.
White and Ayers were two of the 14 artists awarded grants out of a total of 37 applicants. This year’s
funding requests amounted to over $71,500.

The application for the 2019-20 Regional Artist Project Grant program became available online at
