To Whom It May Concern,

As an aspiring International Relations student and future foreign service officer, it is imperative I
apply for appropriate internships. My penchant for this type of work and goals for the future
make me the perfect candidate.

The learning opportunities that the State Department can provide are unparalleled. No matter the
duties assigned, just being in close proximity to the work done in the department will be enough.

I look to complete a bachelor’s degree in International Relations at either Georgetown University

or Princeton University, after my graduation in June 2020. I plan on dedicating my spare time to
this internship or a similar one in the hopes to add on to my studies. Any type of introductory
position such as this one will benefit me greatly after I receive my bachelors and look to enter
this type of work.
