‘To Whom It May Concern:
am privileged to write this letter of recommendation in support of my student, Vivian Harper. I have
known Vivian for two years, but this year, I feel very fortunate to have her as a student in my Advanced
Placement English Literature and Composition class at Merced High School. I have witnessed her
tremendous growth and development, academically and personally. It is with much pleasure and sincerity
that I write this letter on her behalf.
‘Throughout the year, Vivian has proven to be an extraordinary young woman. She is independent,
motivated, and respectful. She possesses many strong personai qualities and displays an excellent
commitment to her education. She has excelled in all of her classes and gone above and beyond what was
required. Vivian has demonstrated that she is a dedicated student and an independent worker. She is also
very outgoing and interacts with other students in a positive manner as shown through her extensive
involvement in school activities. In addition to Vivian's excellent academic accomplishments, she has
been actively involved in extra-curricular activities on campus and within our community. First, she is a
valuable member of our Merced Marching 100 where she has participated in not only the marching band,
but the jazz and symphonic bands as well. She is the current President of the Poetry Club, but has also
been very active with the Debate Club, Link Crew, and the Girls Who Code Computer Science Club. She
is truly a well-rounded and dedicated young lady who still finds time to volunteer many hours of her time
to give back to our community as well. This includes volunteering over four hundred total hours working
with the youth in our community as a counselor at Camp Green Meadows and as an assistant band
director for a local elementary school. Vivian’s academic achievement, work ethic, community service,
and inspirational character qualities undoubtedly account for her continued success,
‘Vivian knows the importance of education and the reward of strong personal character. She has set
impressive goals for her future and plans to enlist in the United States Air Force to become a pilot. It has,
sincerely been a pleasure for me to know Vivian and be her teacher and I highly and enthusiastically
recommend her.
Sincerely,
Kudiygmoe
