What were the best and worst parts of Senior Project/Senior Seminar?
The best part of my project was finishing the marathon and the worst part was around mile 20
when things finally hit me that this is challenging.
List three things you now know after completing your Senior Project.
Marathons are not for everyone, Marathons are very challenging but if completed you feel like
you can do anything, The training leading up to the marathon benefits you more than the
marathon itself.
What problems did you encounter, and how did you handle these problems?
Towards the end of the marathon my legs were very dead and going uphill was super
challenging. I handle this by pushing through it and occasionally stopping to stretch my legs.
Which aspect of the Senior Project/Senior Seminar stretched you the most? How did you
feel about and react to this challenge?
I have never ran a marathon before, but I run track and I thought I would enjoy running a
marathon.
How has Senior Project/Senior Seminar changed you (skills, attitudes, work habits,
capabilities, confidence, poise, presentation, etc.)?
Running a marathon has showed me that if you complete a big challenge your self confidence
will rise. It also has showed me that what you put in is what you get out. I worked very hard to
help prepare for this and this being my first marathon I think it showed.
What would you do differently if you had to do the whole Senior Project/Senior Seminar
process again?
I would try and look at different marathons and see which one looked the most interesting and do
that one.
