Unit: FLUID CATALYTIC CRACKING (FCC #1) ‘Customer Location Date EPPETROECUADOR Esmeraldas Esmeraldas, Ecuador December 2015 Refinery SUMMARY Introduction: During the period of December 10 until December 18, 2015, UOP inspector Daniel I. Alfaro Sr. arrived to EPPETROECUADOR Esmeraldas Refinery premises to assist in the Fluid Catalytic Cracking Unit Inspection plan. This visit focused in familiarizing ATP personnel with the new internal components of the new reactor and new regenerator and other new equipment installed during the FCC Unit rehabilitation, and to assist creating an inspection plant to better prepare the next schedule turnaround. A presentation was shown to the inspection and maintenance personnel that include recommendations for the next schedule tumaround. ‘The FCC unit start up was September 2015, and it has been in services since then and is schedule to shutdown for a short period of time in January 2016 to perform schedule activities/work as part of the rehabilitation scope of work. Recommendations: Create inspection procedures for each component for the FCC unit such: Name plate, insulation, ladders and platform, piping, flanges, etc. 2 Create inspection plans for each piece of equipment such: vessel, exchangers, towers, reactor, heaters, etc. 3+. Follow the recommendations provided in the report issued during this a) To monitor the regenerator cone section for corrosion b) To schedule ample time for the different activ including in this document. it such as: in the inspection plan and other activities not ection plan required to maximize inspection time and ies.
