To Whom It May Concern:

Strength, aptitude, and compassion are three words that come to mind when I think of ideologies I try to instill in
my students before they leave my classroom. When it comes to my student, Megan Cook, she is a true example of
these qualities.

As a junior in English 3, Megan was a bit more reserved, quiet and withheld a bit. As the year progressed, so did
Megan. She became more open and willing to converse in the class discussions and activities, and her voice was
well heard. She put her schoolwork and studies first, even though her path throughout high school hasn’t been the
easiest traveled. Megan is a student that dedicates her energy and time towards other people. For a community
project junior year, she made it a goal to assist children in need at hospitals by providing baskets of toys and
activities for them. As a senior this year, Megan uses her time as a Link Leader, which is a mentor to freshmen
students in my English 1 class. Megan is able to sit with these students, work with them, help them focus on
school and their abilities in order to push them towards an education. Because of Megan’s demeanor and high
school journey, the students are so appreciative of her help, as am I. It has been a pleasure to see the growth
Megan has attained. Because of her experiences, she wants to become an educator herself.

To watch Megan changed and blossom into this bright, tenacious young woman has been an honor. She is more
than capable of becoming a fabulous role model in the community. While she may be reserved, her actions and
compassion speak volumes. She is strong and goes after what she desires. She is dedicated, and truly a lovely
student.

I am more than pleased to write this letter of recommendation for Megan Cook. As a dedicated young woman in
and out of the classroom, she will serve your campus and community proudly. If you have any questions in
regards to this recommendation, please contact me via email or phone number. Thank you for your time.

Sincerely,
