Pride Sample

Agriculture is my pride. Agriculture has been around since time has begun. It has

grown to be the biggest industry in the world. It crazy to see how uneducated the world

is on agriculture because people really think that their food comes from a grocery store.

Some farmers hard work, sweat tears, and money has gone into the crops that go into

those stores that give us the privilege to eat everyday. Farm Labor is hard work and

many folks can’t do it so God made a Farmer. Paul Harvey made a speech about God

Making a Farmer on the news in 1978 and i quote “And on the 8th day, God looked

down on his planned paradise and said, "I need a caretaker." So God made a farmer.

God said, "I need somebody willing to get up before dawn, milk cows, work all day in the

fields, milk cows again, eat supper and then go to town and stay past midnight at a

meeting of the school board." So God made a farmer. “I need somebody with arms

strong enough to rustle a calf and yet gentle enough to deliver his own grandchild.

Somebody to call hogs, tame cantankerous machinery, come home hungry, have to

wait lunch until his wife's done feeding visiting ladies and tell the ladies to be sure and

come back real soon -- and mean it." So God made a farmer. Now there so much more

a farmer does as he goes on in his speech and says. Agriculture has impacted the lives

of hundreds and thousands as the industry advocates to the youth such as the FFA, the

largest youth organization in the world and 4-H. FFA is important for the Future of
Agriculture because they teach the importance of Agriculture and understand the

importance it has in our generation.
