To whom it may concern;

My Name is Kit Grattan and I am the Head coach of water polo and swimming at Merced High School, I
also teach Physical Education and am the Department Chairperson. I have been at Merced High school for 14
years. It is my pleasure to write her a letter of recommendation for Madeline Hall.

I have known Madeline for the past 4 years through the aquatics program. She has always demonstrated
great respect for her coaches and fellow athletes. She has been a leader by example and is very hard-working,
she demonstrates a high level of dedication and willingness to sacrifice for the team. In our swimming program
athletes are expected to train morning and afternoon throughout the season and she has been doing this since
her freshman year with us at MHS. She always has a positive attitude and performs at a high level. Her respect
for others and demonstration of maturity has always been a characteristic I appreciate.

Madeline is a very good student, her current GPA is above a 4.0. Madeline has always managed a very
busy schedule and made school the highest priority. Madeline has worked as a P.A.L. peer assistant learner with
our special education department. Madelines accomplishments in our aquatics program are impressive, 4 Year
Varsity swimmer and 4 Year Varsity Water Polo player. All league 3 years in polo and one of the best swimmers
in our league consistently. Madeline is always willing to help others a characteristic admirable in today's
teenagers.

Madeline has never asked for any recognition and has proven to be the driving force behind what has
made MHS aquatics successful for 4 years. Madeline, in my opinion, is a great person and one of the most
caring athletes we have ever had in our program. I would gladly recommend her for any award that recognises
hard work and leadership. Madeline will be successful in many areas of her life and will be a valuable individual
in her community.
