PROJECT SYNOPSIS

Project Title:
Study of latest trends and market assessment in the area of Antibiotics along with
the emerging treatment in the antibiotics therapy segment
Project Scope:
The increasing threat of antimicrobial resistance combined with the paucity of new
classes of antibiotics represents a serious public health challenge. New treatment
technologies could, in theory, have a significant impact on the future use of
traditional antibiotics, be it by facilitating rational and responsible use or by
product substitution in the existing antibiotics markets, despite the growing threat
of antimicrobial resistance, pharmaceutical and biotechnology firms are reluctant
to develop novel antibiotics because of a host of market failures.
This project would be carried out in two parts, the first part made up of secondary
research which include study of latest trends and market assessment in the area of
Antibiotics along with the emerging treatment in the antibiotics therapy segment
and the second part consist of primary survey which includes research to find out
the current prescription pattern of physician and data analysis followed by
conclusive remarks and recommendation.
The primary survey consists of consumer survey that would be collected from
Chandigarh, Mohali and Panchkula
