Letter of Recommendation for David Sanchez,

It is my pleasure to write this letter of recommendation for David Sanchez. As his Soccer Coach
at El Capitan High School, I have worked closely with him during this athletic season and can
attest that he is both a dedicated student and an ideal teammate, displaying his work ethic and
companionship both on and off the field.

Academically, David is very intuitive and dependable. He has displayed his dedication and hard
working nature by attaining a 3.64 GPA and in becoming a very well-rounded student. David has
been part of the AVID club and soccer program at El Capitan for four years, in addition to
having completed 115 hours as an Academic Mentor to lower classmen during breaks in his
school day. David plans on continuing this momentum after graduation by attending a four-year
university where he hopes to major in Computer Science. His long term goal is to become a
computer programmer or software engineer.

On a personal level, David has proven himself to be both responsible and resilient. His resilience
was tested this soccer season when he suffered a concussion that kept him from playing a large
portion of our winter games. Despite the setback, David’s attitude and devotion to his team never
faltered. He continued to be a positive athlete in our program and has inspired other students to
be so, as well. Due to the contribution he has put forth in our soccer program, I can attest that
David maintains high standards for himself and takes his education seriously. I am sure he will
be a success in whatever he chooses to do. It has been a pleasure having David as a student and
watching him mature as an individual.
