My Five Year Plan

Five years after graduation I plan to have a master’s degree as a veterinarian. I

love animals, I like helping animals. My desire to help them has led me to my career

path. When I see a animal hurt I want to help it. I can’t stand to see a animal in pain.

When I help an animal I feel good about myself. So this is why I see myself as a

veterinarian in five years.

Veterinarians all have one thing in common, they like animals. When I was little I

use to love to go inside a pet store and look at all the animals. The one animal I wanted

to look at the most was the dogs. My other favorite animals are horses, rabbits,

hamster, and cats. I remember the rabbit I still have since I was 12 my cousin were

messing with my rabbit and they broke one of her legs. I was sad and I couldn’t afford to

take her to the vet, so I made her a cast by myself. I had got a cardboard box and I cut

a piece off, I placed the cardboard on the bottom of her leg and I wrapped it around a

few months later her leg was fixed and that was my desire of being a vet on helping

animals.

I know that to become a vet, I will have to study hard and go to a university such

as UC Stanislaus and etc. to earn my Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine. A doctoral

degree takes 4 years to complete the full program. Also I need to take a anatomy,

physiology and disease prevention course classes. In conclusion 5 years after I

graduate I will have a education at UC Stanislaus. Also I will have my bachelors degree

as a veterinarian and have my desire to help animals.
