Message
An academic institution magazine carries the contributions reflecting
spirit and goals of the students, faculty and other team members of
an institution. I am happy to know that Manipal School of Nursing,
Manipal is bringing out its yet another magazine this year. Through
School Magazine students get an opportunity to exhibit their extra-
curricular talents. They get an opportunity to pen down their thoughts
and talents and make the people around them know about the glory of
their institution. The role of a magazine is therefore vital in promoting
what an institution offers. It brings out into the open things hitherto
unrevealed. It brings to light the names of the unsung heroes and their
mighty deeds. I am happy that there is a dedicated team of staff and
students who have brought out the magazine of the School.

I wish the Magazine a grand success.

Message
Dear faculty and students of my alma mater MSON,

It is a great pleasure to know that you are bringing out the 13th volume of
‘Prajna’ the annual school magazine that we launched so enthusiastically
in the year 2004

I am sure the hard work put in by the Principal, faculty and students
during the academic year will be showcased beautifully in the present
issue. The various interesting articles, poems, drawings and personal
experiences are a pleasure to lookout for. I always treasure the memories
of going through the write-ups while selecting the most appropriate ones.

I wish you all the very best in your career as well as personal lives.

‘‘Believe in yourself ! Have faith in your abilities! Without a humble but
reasonable confidence in your own power, you cannot be successful or
happy.”
– Norman Vincent Peale

I am delighted to be appointed as Principal of Manipal School of Nursing by

the Manipal Academy of Higher Education. I owe my gratitude to Dr. Anice
George, Dean, Manipal College of Nursing, for her support and guidance.
I am happy to say that I am the Alumna of MSON Manipal. I have taken over
the responsibility from Dr. Kasturi R. Adiga, who was an administrator and
a great teacher. I would like to thank madam for all the love and support.
I pray that God continues to grant her sound health, happiness and
blessings.

My dear students, you may face many challenges in life. I strongly believe
that the skills and knowledge that you gained during your student life
here at MSON will surely help you to overcome them. Continue to update
your knowledge. Be open to learning from others. The way to overcome
the negative thoughts is to substitute the good thought. Be truthful to
self and others. This New Year may bring happiness to you, your family,
community and the world.

I am glad to work with the group of a very dedicated, cooperative,

passionate and committed faculty member. They not only inspire a
passion for learning but also are caring and often go beyond the call of
duty, for the best of students.

Life is beautiful, but not always. It has lots of problems to face every day. Don’t worry!
All these problems make you strong; it gives us the courage to stand alone in future. Life is
full of moments of joy, pleasure, success and comfort. There is no human on earth strong,
