Appreciation Letter

The person that has greatly impacted my life was my older brother. He is the person I have

looked up to since I was small. He has also helped me and supported me in school. I am proud of

his accomplishments and that’s what I have looked up to. He has graduated from Uc Merced and

that’s what I plan to achieve in the next 4 years. He is the person who helped me choose

mechanical engineering because he graduated with a Computer Science major and lead me to

realize that I didn’t really want to pursue a career in Computer Science.

I look up to him in many ways because of his educational accomplishments and his

financial accomplishments. I someday will accomplish all these achievements too in which I can

make my family pride. I saw the struggle my brother would make in college to pass his classes and

I am willing to put in that work because for anything, you have to work for it.

My brother is kind, caring, and hardworking. He tackles any task that he is put in, no

matter the obstacles he works for it until he accomplishes the task. He has taken care of both me

and my sister when parents had to go to Mexico for family issues. He took care of us for 3 weeks

twice in different years and he did a great job.

In conclusion, my brother is very supportive of all of our school accomplishments and

goals that we have to come or have accomplished. I look up to him because he always gives me

good advice whether is it at school or at home. I someday wish to become hardworking like him.
