captive consumption :

Meaning of Captive Consumption. In case of a factory, produces a product but does not sell it and uses it for
further production, it is called captive consumption.

Molasses :

thick, dark brown juice obtained from raw sugar during the refining process

Bagasse :

the dry pulpy residue left after the extraction of juice from sugar cane.

On an average, 95 kg of sugar and 10.8 litres of ethanol can be produced from 1 tonne of sugarcane.

Total sugar consumption in india is 25 million were as 32 million is the production
