I am going to describe a historic building from Taltal: the Alhambra Theatre.

It is located in
Torreblanca Street, in front of the main square in the centre of the town. It was built in 1921
for the Perucci family, that was in charge of all the activities in the theatre and the candy
store that was inside. The theatre is made of oregon pine, just like all the other old buildings
in Taltal. It is two floors high and it has many spacious rooms inside, but not all of them can
be used.
I like this theatre because it represents an important part of Taltal’s history and people are
free to gather there to watch a movie or a play, depending on the current activity.
Sometimes artists from other places go to Taltal and present their art in the Theatre,
sometimes local artists go and show their skills to the audience. The Alhambra Theatre is a
nice place to visit if you ever go to Taltal.
