Project Constraints

Different project had different factors to consider before the construction process. These factors
such as the time, cost, quality, resources and risk of the construction of a project have huge effect on
the workers and the people on site. Batangas South Elementary School was located near the city’s
property which is subjected to huge population. The construction of new building and facilities based
from the proposed site development plan will affect the workers, student, teacher and the people near
the site. Long duration of the construction will affect the students; proper time management of
construction was required. Proper time management for the construction must be applied.

Every construction project has a source of fund that should be properly allotted for its successful
completion. Insufficient budget for the project delays the work resulting to long duration of the project,
poor performance of the workers, and may affect the quality of the project. It can also lead to failure
completion of the project. If this occurs, the applied construction system may not be suitable for
accomplishing the objectives and quality of the project.

Quality was one of the factor to consider especially for the beneficiaries. Poor quality of the
project may result to different risk and unsatisfactory. If this occur, budget will be wasted for the project
The construction of the new buildings and facilities must comply to the specified quality needed for the
benefit of the students, teachers and the school.

Since the Batangas South Elementary School was included to the 5-year development plan of
Department of Education – Batangas City, the source of fund will be provided by the DepEd and the city
government with the support of private sector.
