Research Objectives
There are various objectives that are to be fulfilled in the due course of conducting this feasible research,
they are:

 To identify the main types of frauds that are threatening this retail banking ecosystem: this
research will enable us to understand the various types of frauds that are defined in the constitution.
 Determine the involvement of bank staff in fraudulent activities: there is a greater chance of
wrong doing by the bank staff and this doing this research might help in understanding the complex
ideologies of the bank staff.
 Ascertain all the possible factors that
encourage staff involvement in bank
frauds: bank employees are lured by
giving several benefits and this is
completely wrong in the purview of the
legal system.
 To know the various lapses and other
causes of bank frauds: several instances
of lapses are being reported aftermath of a
fraud, this research will delve into that
aspect and cover the lapses and understand them thoroughly.
 To identify the consequences of frauds on banking operations: customer relationships are
deeply affected by the frauds that occur in the banks and the banking operations may not go
smoothly after frauds occur.
 To identify the measures which can help in fraud prevention: the research would also like to
study about the various fraud prevention measures that are employed in several banks across the
sector to get a clear picture on the measures.

These Research objectives lay a solid foundation on why this research has to be conducted. The Research
objectives are focused and concise. The objectives are also highly feasible and can be achieved within the
due course of the study.
